For my redesign of Holly Black’s Book of Night, I wanted the cover to reflect its themes of identity and redemption in a more literal way. The deep black background is punctuated with star-shaped cutouts that reveal silvery endpapers beneath, echoing the glow of a night sky. Embossed lettering on the title and author name adds texture while emphasizing Holly Black’s presence on the cover.
